Fénix Animal Project
A nonprofit animal welfare and rescue portal, and a programme of Bentley's Playhouse.
Overview
Fénix Animal Project is an animal welfare and rescue portal built to close the distance between rescuers and the people who want to help them — with particular focus on natural disasters and other emergencies.
It brings together a directory of rescue organisations, lost-and-found listings, veterinary listings and crisis resources, published in more than one language, and charges organisations nothing to take part.
It is a programme of Bentley's Playhouse, a nonprofit dog rescue in South Florida, registered as a nonprofit corporation in Florida and founded by Cata Balzano. Bentley's Playhouse is a separate legal entity from Cata Balzano, Inc.; the two are connected through their shared founder, not through ownership.
Purpose
To mobilise help for animals in times of crisis by making rescue organisations, veterinary care and emergency resources easy to find.
Primary audience
Rescue and welfare organisations, donors and volunteers, and anyone searching for a lost animal or for help during an emergency.
